Make a day of Carolina beach music and shag dancing at Havenwing Vineyards. Featuring Band of Oz, more bands to be announced, and DJ entertainment all day, with food trucks, full bars, sponsor swag, air-conditioned spaces and on-site parking.
What is beach music?
Carolina beach music is a regional tradition with a sound and dance culture all its own. Familiar songs and a steady groove bring beach music fans and shag dancers together.
And the shag?
The shag is a partner dance done to that groove. It is smooth and grounded, with most of the style in the footwork. Some people have danced it for decades; plenty of people just enjoy watching and listening. Both are welcome.
Why a festival?
Because this music deserves a dependable annual home: a place where longtime fans reconnect and newcomers find out what the fuss is about. We are starting fresh, and we will share details only when they are confirmed.
